Post I may as well start with my story...although boring....
on: March 6, 2012, 09:31

I create web sites with my hubby as a part of his business.

I thought it would be fun to create a fan site for someone.... Which is funny cuz I'm so not into the celebrity gaga.

A family member had turned me on to Generation Kill and the tall blonde guy who played the role of Sgt. Brad Colbert.

So I decided to start one for him.

While creating the original site...GAWDS it was tiny then...I started to do some admin duties on an Alexander Skarsgard Fans Facebook page. I also started the ASN Facebook App. The one where you could send "photo gifts" to friends (since upgraded to the current FB page). That was Feb 2009.
The first Paleyfest the True Blood cast attended happened that April...I went...met Alexander for coffee and we've been in touch since.

In May 2009 the little ASN site was launched. It's seems like forever ago yet it's only been 3 years that I've been part of this crazy fan world.

Through it all I've made many friends worldwide who share in the admiration for this Swedish born thespian. I get to travel on occasion and attend events where I get to meet these folks I adore!

The site will drive me crazy at times and to be honest...my HOBBY has become more of a job. A job that leaves me stressed, excited, horrified yet thrilled that, with the help of Alexander and his awesome fandom, we're capable of banding together to make a difference for some pretty awesome charities!

So after many MANY hours of comp time and with the help of many folks...some that are no longer with us sadly (except for one whom I couldn't get rid of fast enough) AlexSkarsgard.Net is the site you see today.

Oh, I need to do my story tomorrow too. I love this. Generation Kill was my draw to Alexander too, and I likewise don't do the celebrity gaga thing. I can't really remember ever having a celebrity crush before this. Maybe Joey from NKOTB when I was in junior high school. LOL.

Had never heard of him until my adult children were watching an episode. I was walking past and got interested in the show straight away. That's when it hit me...like you say a virus. But in a very nice way. Ever since then i watch anything and everything that he is in. Jenna you are lucky you got to meet the man himself. Can you tell us what he is really like in person?

Hmmm...What is Alex like in person???

Well remember I met him just after season 1 of True Blood. He was new to all this craziness and VERY naive about the hype.
He was shy....asked us more questions than we asked him but VERY down to Earth and extremely personable.
He was cutie-patootie basically. Met us at our table...introduced himself as "Alexander" *eyeroll* as though we didn't know who we were meeting....asked us if he could get us something and took off to order.
I don't remember details as it was three years ago but...his boots were untied, per usual.

We discussed him not getting Thor *sad face*, the fans being in an uproar about the rumor Eric was getting a haircut, to which he was surprised and he went on to explain why he had to wear the wig in the first place (crew cut due to Generation Kill) and why it was such a pain in the ass to wear for 12-16 hours a day shooting. We discussed friends, websites and other mundane things like my boring ass job and pets...(not my discussion). We were there for Paleyfest and had plans on walking there after coffee. Alex explained that the Arclight was much further away than expected, so he offered to drop us off on his way home to prepare himself for the event. It was the LONGEST 2 miles of my life!!
Although cutie patootie and polite....the man drives like a maniac!!

We brought him a few gifts from the girls at the FB site, we each took one pic with him, he signed our personal goodies and dropped us off.

He contacted me later to thank me for the gifts and....that's it... We've had chats/emails since but mainly site related.

He's much busier now and I don't think I'd ever want to meet him in public again. Too much hype with paparazzi, fans and the what-nots.
We have a few mutual "friends" that I like to see when I'm in LA for an event but I don't ask Alex to coffee anymore...lest I be mobbed by association by those mentioned above...

Now Sam Trammell...he's the laid back dude who's a riot to have drinks with!! Us girls here also run Sammy's site (which will be getting a complete overhaul soon) and we LOVE visiting our Sam! He makes us his OFFICAL bodyguards when we're with him...*eyeroll*

Both guys are fun to "work" for....for different reasons...but they're both very thankful and appreciate what we do....which we appreciate in turn....

Doesn't mean I don't have my moments...days...when I want to kick them both in their butts! It happens...after three years it's happened a few times....

But all in all we ladies have fun...love traveling to see each other...the boys...and finding yet another excuse to see each other a few months later!!

I started in a roundabout way. I subscribe to Entertainment Weekly, and kept seeing articles on vampire stories. I had watched 1 vampire movie with my older sister & her friends when I was young, so I always found vampires cool. I told my friend Natascha I wanted to start reading these vampire books I read about in EW. (I believe they were the Twilight series.) She said “Oh no, you don’t want to read those. They are boring and for teenagers. You want to read these Charlaine Harris novels I read. She loaned me the first 5 books, and I never cracked them open for months. She asked for them back to read again. I kept seeing more of it in EW, so I asked for the books again and she gave me the 1st one. I instantly liked Sookie and Bill. I hated the character of Eric. (I think it was because of the Liam, Malcolm & Diane characters that Sookie didn’t like, and I felt Eric was like them.) I wasn’t into his long hair or full of himself ways. Book 2: still loved Sookie & Bill, still hated Eric (even more). Book 3: couldn’t understand what happened with Bill (was he taken, or did he leave her on purpose?) Hated Eric, was not happy about werewolves coming into the picture and stopped reading about halfway (or less) through book 3. I knew there was a series on TV about it, but I had made a commitment in my mind to not watch the show until I had finished all of the books. But one night in January 2010 I was snowed in and couldn’t find anything else on cable to watch, so I decided to watch True Blood. Season 1 was On Demand for that weekend only, and I watched the whole thing that weekend. I wasn’t taken with Alex at first, but I did think he was a better Eric than I had pictured. I had to wait a week or 2 to watch Season 2 On Demand. I watched it in 2 days. I had thought I could watch Season 3 On Demand, but didn’t realize it wouldn’t air until June. It was so addicting. I don’t remember when exactly it clicked for me and Eric. But I know when I started to watch Season 2 again, I would fast forward to the Eric scenes. I remembered enjoying him ripping off Royce’s arm, the Sookie/Eric dreams, but mostly, when she is suckered into sucking his blood in Dallas. The look on his face & then looks at the screen. *swoon* I probably wouldn’t be as into the show/Alex if it wasn’t for Facebook & the internet. I needed more of this addiction and it certainly was the place to feed it. I saw on Facebook who would be playing Alcide and suddenly the werewolves made sense to me. I started reading Book 3 again. When I got to book 4 (specifically chapter 6) I had to take a nap after reading the Sookie/Eric hookup. I either dreamed this or just plain out hallucinated Eric Northman naked in front of me. I’ve been a rabid fan ever since. After my nap, I went upstairs and ordered the rest of the Sookie Stackhouse series from Amazon & Season 1 of True Blood on DVD. A couple weeks later I ordered Generation Kill on DVD. It usually takes me a month to read 1 book because I only read at night and don’t always have time. But I finished the rest of the books very quickly. I could not wait to see the name “ERIC” on the pages. He is my favorite fictional character. I got to see “The Last Drop” on cable and have tried to gather as much of his Swedish movies as I can. (It’s so frustrating to not be able to see all of his movies!) Because I started in January 2010 being a fan of his, I was bummed when I found out I was a month late for that awesome pic of him, Stephen Moyer & Ryan Kwanten in the Dec. 2009 issue of GQ. I think that’s what has made me magazine obsessive now, especially when Alex is on the cover. I’m glad I finally have an answer to “who is your favorite actor”? I would see him in anything. I love how he can be a suicidal transvestite, ice-cool Marine sergeant, deadly sexy vampire, sweet & lovable stepfather, southern boy/rapist, and a porn-stachey slimy lounge singer and I still love him. And I really love that he is such a diehard fan of Hammarby.

My husband and I always wanted to see true blood.. we heard it was so good.. but we didn't have HBO. Finally when true blood was in season 3 we got HBO but didn't want to watch it until we had caught up on the series. So we watched it on HBO GO.. first time ever seeing Alexander was in first season... wow.. I was impressed right away.. not just because he is so attractive.. that is a given .. but I really loved hi interpretation of Eric Northman. I thought he was a really good actor. It was then that discovered Generation Kill on HBO GO and then a movie called Melancholia .. I was also happy to see his father Stellan was in it I have always liked him a lot!

wow hello everyone. hmmm what can I say...first time I saw him was in Lady Gaga's video....impressed by him right away...It was strange because he was there for like less than 1 min?!?!?!?!? Ok ok we all agree that he's one hot guy....but in my opinion he's very intriguing ,that's what makes him soooo sexy and that's the main reason I started following him. In Italy they are waaaaaay behind with the Hbo shows...so one of my friends in the States askes me about True Blood....wth is that!? and from that moment my husby lost me :) ) @ least every sunday :) ))) funny thing....I have a baby girl..Ayleen, she's 10 months.I was watching True Blood and she's laughing her ass off every time!I kept telling her "Eric" so she could repeat it...after 10 min of repeating eric eric eric she looks at me and says "Daddy"! :) )))
