First Look at Alexander Skarsgård in ‘Disconnect’
The first look at Alexander’s film ‘Disconnect’ has surfaced via an Italian website, lastampa.it. In the photo above: Alexander Skarsgård and Paula Patton. The film will be premiering at the Venice Film Festival on September 3, 2012. According to IMDb, it will be released in US theatres on April 12, 2013.

Disconnect by Henry-Alex Rubin puts on stage a mosaic of humanity in pain” exploring the consequences of being used to live everywhere, but being stuck in the same place”. A couple is on a crisis as they try to solve their infertility problems they end up united again and find new passion when they are forced to go on searching the money somebody stole them on line, after an identity theft. He is a former marine, played by the new sex symbol Alexander Skarsgård, son of the famous Stellan: “In the movie I’m married to Paula Patton–he tells–both of us have the habit of chatting on the net, our marriage doesn’t work anymore. Suddenly somebody steals our identities and as we assume to know who might be responsible, we decided to go on the chase together. The journey we have to face to find the virtual thief , played by Michael Nyqvis who’s a friend of mine who lives in Stockholm , just two blocks from my house, starts a new sparkle between us and we get together again eventually. For Skarsgård it was a thrilling experience: “It’s a movie with complex tales, a little like Short cuts by Robert Altman, I was really into it, and I was really comfortable working with the director. All the plot is about how people cope with the digital era we’re living in”. There’s a widow former cop that has to deal with his own son who’s being a cyber-bully with a schoolmate. There are two parents who try to control their shy son, musically gifted, who has tried suicide several times. There’s a reporter chasing scoops, trying to convince a teenager recruited on a website to become the character of a story that is going to put in danger her career and the boy’s life.
