20 Reasons SFX Loves True Blood
Back in November, SFX magazine put out issue #216, dated January 2012. They listed their Top 20 reasons they love True Blood. Our favorite Viking vampire, Eric Northman (masterfully played by Alexander Skarsgard), was their #6 reason.
6. ERIC NORTHMAN – What can we say about Eric that you don’t know already? Even if you haven’t watched the show you’ll know that the unfeasibly tall and moody Alexander Skarsgård has been True Blood’s breakout hero, building on his guest-star status in the first season to become one of the pillars of the series. Eric’s languid, laid-back demeanor, occasional hilarious one-liners (always unexpected) and growing fascination with Sookie (could our vampire Viking be in love?) have made him a beautifully downbeat sidekick for Bill. But his snarling viciousness – ripping apart a human while having his hair highlighted with foil wraps, for instance – means he’s not a vamp to be trifled with.
